MAVERIX GOLF TOUR LLC is a venue to play Competitive Golf at the highest level in Central Oregon. We are "The Club branded as pure golf." Once or twice a week competitive golf tournaments are held at different Golf Courses with the prize pool awarded to both Gross and Net winners in each division.

As an Associate member of the OGA and PNGA, we protect a member"s amateur status by issuing Maverix Certificates that are as good as cash at any of our varied Sponsors, and honor Tournament Scores only for the purpose of handicap.

We will not sell any Mulligans or String, we will not have gimmes and will play the game the way it was intended. There is no meal attached. You play, post your score and either wait for the field to finish or enjoy a beverage at the facility or simply go home or back to work. We will post the scores here on the website and secure Maverix certificates or cash (pros only) from your account.

MAVERIX was created by Ed Carson and Stein Swenson as an alternative (or addition) to a Private Club Membership and as a venue to play Competitive Golf at the highest level in Central Oregon. Our logo and its message is clear: We are "The Club branded as pure golf."

Our vision is to create a local Golf Tour offering competitive golf once or twice each week at different Golf Courses.

• We will compete for both Gross and Net in each division.
• We will pay out 90% of the prize pool (less 10% for costs of administration.).
• We will be an Associate member of the OGA and PNGA.
• We will protect our members amateur status by issuing Maverix Certificates good at any of our varied Sponsors.

We will honor your GHIN handicap only for the purpose of handicap. All of our event scores will be entered by our staff as Tournament Scores.

We will seat an Advisory Board for the purpose of "Steering" and Committee work. I.E. Handicap committee etc.

Goals: We had 80 plus members in year one. We are ahead of projections and currently have over 90 members and the list is growing daily. Our new advertising is in place and as word of mouth continues we see the membership increasing exponentially! We believe that ultimately we can attract well over 300 players looking for a "Real" competitive venue through the 2008 season.
